tomturd
We have a similar thing going on in the Wiki,http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/LocationsNeeds quite a bit of filling up. Maybe just one map with all locations on it would be better.. hmm
Simon
My idea was better. This is 2-3 years old now though so a few concepts would be done differently, and it would centered around a map or calender depending on users choice.Ride-Here brief;- Centered around a calendar (www.xl-designs.com/ride-here),- Each date will have the rides that are being organised for that day. Each ride will be a different colour, which can be chosen by the person adding ride.- Each day is clickable to view a more detailed list of the rides on that day.- Each ride will have a list of users that will be attending, along with bike information and information from users profile.- Each ride will be in a town that is already in database, so users can see what town they are riding in, and view reviews on that town.- Users must sign-up to the site to start a new ride.- Users may add themselves to a ride. As well as remove themselves- Users may add and review towns.Ride-Here specification;-> Homepage;- Latest added and reviewed towns- Calander underneath- Latest rides organised- User login-> Calendar;- Browse months- View ride-- View users currently added to ride-- Display long blurb on town if town is in database- Report ride (such as offensive/spam rides)- Detailed day view-- Display all rides for that day-- Each ride has short list of riders-- Each ride has short blurb of town if exists in database-- If logged in, ability to "sign-up" for ride-> User Area;- View all rides you are currently attending- Search for rides- Review a town?- Review a ride after it has taken place (after ride date, once you login you will be asked if you want to review)- Start a new ride?- Search riders in an area-> Extra features;- When signed up for a ride, users have the option to recieve an e-mail 24 hours before the ride.- Users can recieve an e-mail when a ride is started in there town?- Users who started the ride may recieve an e-mail when someone signs upOne day i'll get around to it. Nice to see others trying though, although there is quite a few now.
Tommy d
We have a similar thing going on in the Wiki,http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/LocationsNeeds quite a bit of filling up. Maybe just one map with all locations on it would be better.. hmmYeah I think it would. Just have one marker per spot, would be crowded on the UK view but work much better when you zoom in I reckon. And I think it should be possible to have a picture and a caption for each spot, I think currently you can only do one or the other, at least I could...
