Hey guys sorry if im sounding a newbie ive been riding stock for a year now after previously riding mod and am finding it really difficult with sidehops/tucks.

Basically ive searched the forum and cant find anything i can sidehop to the right if that helps.

Im trying to do the kind of side hop where you get onto the back wheel hop for a bit then just go to the directional side by jumping sideways but upwards, i can get onto the back wheel but going to my right im finding it hard like lifting my self up really high and going to the direction the most i can sidehop is 2 pallets.

Any videos people could possibly post up?

Thanks

Andrew

Right I'll do my best here and i'll use Gaz Meredith for images because i think he's a sidehop animal:

Get yourself on backwheel. With your leading foot away from the wall. (Basically have your none leading foot closest to the wall.).

Then once your comfortable with your position. I find stalling helps before your pre-load and hop:

Now. Once you have stalled and are ready to go for it. Swing your arse towards your back tyre and pre-load into it:

When in that position keep your eye on top of the wall at all times. This will help alot. Now. Once pre-loaded throw the bike up-wards and bring the bike up to the side of you, this is your mid air tuck and part of leveling the bike out in air so you land to 2 wheels:

When at this point. Make sure the bike is level so both wheels land on the wall at the same time and tuck that little bit more and you should get a result of something like this:

Then congratulations. Your done. You've made it up the wall. :)

It will take alot of time, effort and practice to master it. It's hard but you will get there in the end.

Good luck with it dude. (Y).

Danny.

Thats a nice sidehop danny. Really good tuck :)

Ill also stress aswell if you want to practice improving your tuck more, make sure you get both wheels to land at the same time, as this way you HAVE to tuck otherwise you wont make it up. I found that going to front wheel meant I could be reallllly lazy on tucking :P
