max-t
man that sucks oweeeeeeee nice ribo's thoughLmao.Yer looked pretty nasty. Did he not dislocate it? looks like it by the way he landed. fractues are bad and everyone seems to be doing them at the moment Get well asap
Token
Er yeh. Apparently it dislocated but went back into its socket, two ligaments have snapped/ruptured (thats the crunch you can hear). The ACL and ACFL ligaments which attach your foot to your leg, so my foot was a little bit wobbly . Erm.... yeah the tibula fractured aswell so it was abit soar around the ankle but thats pretty minor compared to the ligament damage. After a few days you can see below where the ligaments ruptured and the internal bleeding had come to the skin. (mmmm bruised toes!) The second pic is a week later just before I had the cast put on. (the bruising was still coming out on my toes) Edited September 18, 2007 by Scopse
max-t
Arr dude, i did that, it sucks . Youll have to do shit loads of strengthening work on it when you start walking again and the ligamanets will take ages to heal back to full strength Done mine in february and it still feals alot weaker than the other one Max.. Tomm
Er yeh. Apparently it dislocated but went back into its socket, two ligaments have snapped/ruptured (thats the crunch you can hear). The ACL and ACFL ligaments which attach your foot to your leg, so my foot was a little bit wobbly The ACL is in your knee (Ask Bongo about that one). The ATFL (Anterior talo-fibular ligament) is the one that goes first usually, and the other you might have done is the CFL (Calcaneofibular ligament). PaRtZ
did you take up the offer of whiskey lol, he didnt which was a good thing because i dont know how to ask for whiskey in a shop in frenchQUOTE(Ben b @ Sep 19 2007, 11:33 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Ribo's they are ment to support your ankles ...thats true, BUT if you do the support up too tight, then you dont get as much freedom of movement. I always ride with mine a bit slack so when it comes to tucking, only then does it "pinch" against my skinany improvements on the foot matt? Token
Check that oot!!!! Skinny motherhubbard of a leg now, got it off last night, from the very un-delicately handed Si (aka Physio). Ripped hundreds of hairs out my leg with his garden shears. Bloody nutcase . Anyway I'm free, and very weak + stiff, going on tip toes feels like I weigh 20stone which is abit pants. Gota get into a rough routine of stretching etc.^ my leg was in that, god knows how he didn't cut my leg off in the process of taking it off lol. Must be pro .
