ZiGz
Hey guys. I grew up riding a really light kuwahara bmx. After not having ridden for a lonngg time, now i sort of feel like a giant on a tiny little bmx frame. I've always been about balance when i rode, so i know i will love trials bikes. I'm justtt getting back into the scene so forgive my noobness. There aren't any trials bikes at the shops around here for me to try out. The only thing i'm worried about is that i have about a 10 minute bike ride to the train station daily, or a 30-40 minute ride if i dont take the train, and the chainwheel on mod trials bikes is so small! Do you have to peddle a hectic amount to get any speed? is it feasable to get a singlespeed mod bike if i'm doin a commute?I'm 5'11, 155lbs. I love light bikes...the lighter the better. I'd prefer singlespeed but if you have to peddle a zillion times a second to get anywhere i'd consider otherwise. i come from street bmx, i like to just sit back and cruise sometimes. This makes me want a bike with a seat, that i can cruise decently comfortably on. I pretty much think every trials bike i see is awesome, but i'm weary of the chainwheel size and the bike needs a seat! I'd likely put a longer seat stem into some of the ones i've seen, and maybe kick it to a little bigger chainwheel if i get a 'mod' 20" wheel bike.Price range...up to $1500cdn. I'd rather spend around $900 though. I'm a total noob to this, is what i'm asking feasable??
J Trials 31
I have an Onza T-Rex for $650 and I'm in the U.S. Look at the pics in the Bike Pictures forum and on Observed Trials. net. Let me know.
Bigman
Your best bet is to get onto Observedtrials.net as most of the people on there are from the US/Canada and they usualy have some good bikes for sale!Adam

I just got banned for asking a question. Stupid moderators abuse there power and act childish and tell ME I should grow up! I'll deal with you honestly though. Let me know. I'm banned so I can't really sell my bike on that website. Solet me know about my bike when you get the chance.
DeeperThanBlack
Sounds like you have a bit of a dilemma. I don't know but is it actually possible to use a longer seat stem on a Trials bike? I have an Onza T-Pro, which has no seat, so I have no idea. But if your looking to sit down, don't get a T-Pro. Obviously. And personally I get tired pedalling to my local shop and back. But mabye I'm unfit. It definatly requires quite a bit of pedalling. I have another bike for more long distance rides. And I just thought, would a long stem on a Trials bike not look a bit silly? Like one of those foldable hybrid bikes...Hope this helps.Beans.
