robb_o
Is ANYONE welcome to these?I mean, I'm not sure I will fit in.Biggest issue being that I have a SEAT on my bike lol.And I'm not incredibly good. Will I have the mick taken out of me, or are you lot pretty relaxed about these things?I realise how stupid this sounds, before anyone has a pop. Tommy d
I have a SEAT on my bike lol. You're not the only one! Sometimes the younger ones point and gawp when they first see it, but usually they get over it pretty quickly . I also went to a few big rides on my dirt jump bike when I was frameless, and that was no different either.lAnd I'm not incredibly good. There's always a fair bit of that about, you won't be alone.or are you lot pretty relaxed about these things?Yeah I think most people are. It's just a bit of a laugh at the end of the day, if it doesn't rain most people are happy!Edit: Yeah, apart from Kennard I guess. Beware! Luke Rainbird
i have but your still a knob!Chill out...Kennards a silly git like that, you learn to live with itHe's not a knob (well, not that often at least)edit;Rides are all cool on here really. Trials is still pretty much at that stage where any other riders are good to have around most of the time (obviously there's always going to be the odd exception now and then, but as a rule it's cool to turn up to a ride, though maybe get in touch with someone or whatever if you want to be sure you won't be intruding at all ) Edited September 4, 2007 by Monkey Boy
JaMmY
Dont worryi dont think it will be as bad as one time when a guy came up to us to ride with us did one gap snapped his chain landed and broke both his wristsbut apart from that rides are so cool. Ive never seen any kind of discrimination on rides of anykind so dont worry and just go. leave a message on the ride saying ' ill be there' then when you get there just go over and say hi, im 'insertname' and im ' insert forum name' off trials forum. Dan Clark
Every trials ride I've ever been on has had the motto "The more the merrier".Trials is a small enough sport as it is, we don't need cocks discriminating about bike type and ability. Simpson
I f**king love group rides! when i was shit i always used to go up and say Hi and Bessel and all the big riders were safe and respectfull of me just starting up and were happy to give advice to sensible questions... There are a group of people who are unwelcombe on london rides... just becuase there little chavvy c**ts who steal stuff from shops we always use (no names) But im 100% sure your not one of those people! i always love meeting new people! about 20 people i ride with in London i can always go and have a chatt with, ridden Bristol and everyones always been well alright! im not particually good and cant do anything with the "big boys" but can still have a great laugh and enjoy rides with everyone!Seen the London rides thread, i dont ride with any of those people day to day, but its great to see everyone and have them all meet up in 1 place! new faces are always welcombe!!! so just go and be sociable and happy!!! hahaha
PaRtZ
its nice to meet people off the forum bigman's much cuddlier in real life than on the forum. and the yorkhire/hebden bridge riders are much funnier than they appear to be on the forum its good, although i dont really want to know what people who have met us think of us guys

Luke Rainbird
Alternatively there's a MASSIVE London ride on Sunday, which will probably have a larger turnout, and more varied selection of abilities etc, which can often make it more appealing/funIf you can get to it, it would be well worth the trip
