Greetings
Ko-Bikes are a good example of that, I'm pretty sure Dan designed a frame and sent it to Pulo (where among others Deng welds all his stuff). As long as you order a large amount (probably around 100 frames, not sure), they will make you anything. These factories have different profiles, some weld frames, others make freewheels etc. You should find more info on the Pulo website, google it. Captain Scarlet
What about Triton Cycles?, can't you have like custom geo and mounts on the trials frames made by them?Because they are built on ordering. future orange 660
forget the custom frames if you are out to make cash..just make people happy.the amount of time spent on leeson, trition ti frames etc is silly to the extent that they cannot be making much money.mass produced ***. just make sure you have the design dialled first as you don't want 100's of duff frames.also consider shipping, packaging, storage costs etc. well i am sure you have anyway. JDâ„¢
is it just me or does everyone in this topic seem to have the wrong idea? then again, it could be that i've got the wrong idea but I think that what he meant is something like designing a frame and sending it to deng or onza or someone and seeing whether it ends up being in their range?J
Krisboats
is it just me or does everyone in this topic seem to have the wrong idea? then again, it could be that i've got the wrong idea but I think that what he meant is something like designing a frame and sending it to deng or onza or someone and seeing whether it ends up being in their range?JYeah, i can't see how everyone else misinterpreted it so much.He wants to design a frame, then send it off to a bike company on the off-chance they'll make it. A company like cannondale, orange, kona... etc.Not making the frames and paying for shipments himself, and not a custom frame from a company that takes custom geo orders. eskimo
So does Dan's frames get made by Pulo then?I have a Triton by the way. Didn't really take much in to consideration when it came to strength apart from keeping a larger triangle and thicker dropouts. Yeah i know you were on about other things but i though i'd include this.
br3n
they take the ideas seriously, put them into production and credit someone else for it... onza for example.
