Fvil Posted September 3, 2007 Report Share Posted September 3, 2007 (edited) sounds like you have oil on your padsways you can try1.sand down the pads a bit, so it will have fresh material(it might not responded, when you put it back in, thats ok just keep using it till it does, just needs to wear back in)2.try burning the surface(this is trying to remove th oil in the pads)3.drown in white spirit, then set it a light(this is trying to remove th oil in the pads)4.new pads hope this helps Edited September 3, 2007 by ffdevil Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

JoeEden Posted September 3, 2007 Report Share Posted September 3, 2007 It sounds like you have contaminated your brake pads the best thing for that is, put your rotor in the dish washer, im not sure if this will work with magura pads but it works with hope pads put the pads in the oven or get new pads and it should be fab then. JaMmY Posted September 4, 2007 Report Share Posted September 4, 2007 Wipe your brake pads and disc rotor with coke (not pepsi) the red can.It gets the oil off because it is acid and makes it grippy because it leaves a stickiness of some sort.WORKS!!!
