not the rear cable, you can put the front thro cos the forks and the bars spin with each other.

there was a thread about this a while ago, but thats hydro, other than that how about v-brakes and a cable gyro? Not sure if you can use that cable giro as its meant for u-brakes, and I'm not sure v-brakes and u-brakes pull the same amount of cable?

Just run longer cables. I can turn my bars 360* both ways, no problems. You can run the front cable through the stem but you don't have to, and it's a bit awkward. The cable has to make a few sharpish bends, which means a rubbish feeling brake, and running the cable through the stem can be annoying.

That's not an issue since the lever dictates how much cable is pulled, not the giro. I'm not sure it would feel great on a v-brake though.

finite amount of movement in a giro though, presumably enough for the amount of cable a v-brake pulls, cos I doubt there is that much difference between the amount of cable a u-brake pulls and a v-brake? You're right though, it'd feel poo.

Get one of them hydraulic giro things dave it does the same job as a giro on a bmx but its for hydraulic brakes, i also thought danny mac used one. I think they are forsale on bikedock or chain reaction i cant remember.

Edit: well you may aswell ignore me as ive just seen you put at end it will be cable.

Ooooh I get you. Sorry, me being dumb. V-brakes pull more cable I believe, but not masses more. I'd gues it would be fine but I don't know.

mmmm well i wanted it really free, and i think cables are just gonna f**k it all up :(

gyros are gay, just run a straight linear slick or similar cable. You only really get problems if you've whipped the bars round more than a couple of times with them.

Unless of course you feel like growing some balls and riding brakeless
