ilikeriding
you wont get em if its rock hard, id advise getting smoother instead, or a dh innertube/double walled tyre Edited September 2, 2007 by afroman

Luke Rainbird
Next time you ride, go out with a much harder pressure than usual.Find a gap or something you would normally be rimming on, and go at it again and again, letting a tiny bit of pressure out each time you do it, until you are JUST rimming on impact. That's the kind of pressure you sound to be looking forAlternatively, take a pump out with you and work the other way, stopping just after you stop rimming out
basher
Well obviously the harder it is the less chance of snake bites. Danny swindlehurst think its spelt like that uses moped inner tubes i think and he was selling them a while back so may be ask him about them. harrylumley
Sam, u are harsh as hell! and run like 14psi, try step it up to 18 or 20, cheif rims out just hoping on your bike!are we riding hebden tomorrow? Echo-Scott
If you get a double strength tube or a large diameter one there will be alot less snake bites and you can run lower pressure. I'm running a large diameter tube at about 7-8 psi and i have only had one snake bite since I got it which was about a month or so ago. Dave Anscombe
I my self run around about 20 to 25 psi in my rear mod tyre and i would say normaly 10 to 15 in the front... its really just trial and error to be honnest
sam ere luvin :Ptrials:P
Thanks all, I have been running 19 psi my rear tube and that seems to be a better result but i am still getting the odd snake bite , but i have ordered a kenda heavy duty tube so that shud do the trick. dozydame
the best thing to do is to pump your tyres up pretty hard to get to the place your ridin because your get there quicker. then let your tyres down to bout 10-15 PSI each.(well thats what i do, depends how heavy you are, and what tyres you've got) it helps with bounce, and will naturally make you become a smoother rider so you don't rim out and get pinches. Adam Hurd
hi sam i will set your psi if you want???talk when i cya mate bye now
poopipe
pressure doesn't make a sod of difference unless you run about 40 psi. If it's an old tyre and it pinches all the time you need a new one. Otherwise give the inside of the tyre a good coating of talcum powder before you put the tube in and stop smacking it into sharp corners
Alex@Flawless Bikes
I run mine at about 18psi - 20psi and im about 10 stone, don't like my tire to soft. My mate runs his at about 10psi and he is a good 2stone heavyier then me, he just rims out alot!

Krisboats
ideal pressure = bike weight + rider weight / riding style * smoothnessNah, there isn't an ideal pressure, just factor the things in above and go with whatever is best for you personally. You could get a kenda tube from tarty. My mate recently bought one and it litterally just fits in the tyre. Its also quite thick as well.
