ARSE!
yeah the heads need cleaning most likely, you can get head cleaning tapes for about £4 in curry's or similar.
Jonny Jones
As he said ^. Ive had this problem before on my old camcorder, but it turned out to be more serious with some problems with the PCB's inside the camera, cost £180 to fix! But im sure a head cleaner should do the trick.
Phill_Monks
old ISH topic but my camera still has the lines....iv ran the head cleaner tape through it and its actually made it worse could it be anything to do with my computer or the tapes im using ? or i may have changed the setting on the cam im confused with it
Rob_P
In the worst case situation it's could be the cameras sensor (bit that records the image)Try giving it a good bash on the base of the camera, sometimes if theres a dodgy connection with the sensor it will cause lines and eventually may have no image at all.Cameras have lots of moving parts inside so they like to be used! Even if your not using it try and just turn it on, play etc etc for a few minutes.

ZeroMatt
does your pc play other videos of the same format with the lines too?
Janson
Sounds like interlacing lines. They won't show up on your telly but on your computer screen.Deinterlace the video. Google it.Does it look like this?
Phill_Monks
yeah jason thats it, is there anything a can do about it or is it buggerd ?
JonMack
First, it's Janson, not Jason.Plus, he told you what to do, google Deinterlacing.Infact I did it for you, http://www.100fps.com/ it's very concise, and I suggest you read it.It's not a problem with your camera or your computer, it's just what happens when you import footage.
