Hendrix
Basically,Nationwide convinced me to set up a Flex account. When setting it up, they said I would have the Facility of Chip & Pin, Cheques & such things.Tonight, I find I do not have Chip & Pin, I can't garentee Cheques... and he rate of interest is not as quoted. What should I do ?What bank will give me it being under 18 ?Any advise on this would be hugely appreciated, as I'm severely p**sed off with them at the moment!Cheers,Hendrix
Mark W
Could simply be an admin f**k up - go in and say. It's a bit weird you don't have chip and pin though, have they just sent you your cash-card in advance or something?

Mark W
It could just be that that's what they sent first. They never send it all together, due to security. I opened my Abbey account over 4 years ago. I got my cash card last week.

I'm just disappointed that I can't, as it could have been cool
Mark W
Plan If they get shitty, just tell them you want to close the account and you'll go elsewhere. Most banks are total pricks, and there's not much of a difference between them anyway 'til it comes to you not having enough money for whatever reason.Ditch the losers! TomR
Im with nationwide and they're usually pretty helpful onthe phone and good at sorting things out, give them a ring for sure.My Flex account visa garauntees cheques up to £100 i think, and it's chip and pin (i thought everything was moving to chip and pin now anyway, reglardless of what account?). Mark W
Cashcards are still "regular", 'cos they're just made to work at ATMs basically.

And from reading the small print last night, it appears that they do not give Chip and Pin to under 18's for what ever reason! Damn it, I wanted chip and pin
