James Quigley
In the last still was the blood spurting? lolAlways wear your lid, that was only a couple of feet off the ground, imagine if he was higher and done the same thing. toxicturky
you know it's bad when your ears start leaking, personally, given the choice of leaky ear or a stiff neck from my helmet bouncing off a rock i'd go with the stiff neck any day
Sam Nichols
I hardly ever wear a helmet unless i'm doing big stuff and I doubt I will in the future. It's all about the image at the end of the day and helmets aren't cool. I'd much rather be in a little bit more danger but look swish with my hair gelled up etcPeople will probably flame me but I don't care.. I know that i'll be the one looking fresh and you'll be the ones looking like lycra wearing ponces

Jonny Jones
I know I sometimes dont wear my lid when im just doing small things at the start of rides etc (wear it all the time pretty much though), but there really is no excuse for riders not to wear helmets. They are incredibly inexpensive and will save your life if ever you have a crash. Tarty made a video where Adam falls backwards from a wall, shattering his helmet and not his head - that was a clear indication how amazing helmets are. This is mine, love it to bits, covered in stickers though haha - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=1979I would have posted a link from Tarty but they don't stock helmets!? Not a dig Adam mate, but maybe an idea to get some in? Or maybe you do stock them!? I couldn't find any on your site.

I used to take your attitude, but now that i'm riding more again i generally always wear it. For the record if i ever ride with you and you made a comment like that, i would beat you with the aid of my helmet

NileBrownâ„¢
Damn. I dont wear my lid all the time now as it messes up my hairdo - a bit vaine I know but now Ive seen that video, I think I'll wear my lid more often now as I wouldn't want a hole in my head
Sam Nichols
I'm slightly dissapointed.I was at work earlier incredibly bored and hope to stir up the forum a bit but nobody bit oh well.for the record i try to wear my helmet as much as possible, nowhere near as much as i should though but thats vis-a-vis
Mike W
I have a helmet but is not a particuarlly flash and expensive one, i reckon people wpuld buy helmets if the cool ones like giro`s etc where less pricey.when i have money i spend it on my bike and very rarely on safety because is too expensive. Captain Scarlet
At the end of the day, looks are never much of an issue to me when I'm riding a trials bike, to be quite honest not many people take the piss out of you once you can do trials on street objects, except for the odd person, and at the end of the day they can't do it so they can't say anything. Also consider, if you are wearing a helmet you don't have to worry about your hair as it is covered up.And I think that wearing a helmet makes me look better whilst riding, definately changes peoples opinion if they see someone riding a bike with a helmet on.I like to stress all these points as I have had a head injury from biking in the past (2002), it caused a blot clot in my head which was a slow bleed, and resulted in me almost dying. My parents were told that another hour and I probably would have been a goner.I did have this pic of me as my avatar, but I'll post it up for those who did not see.I was stupid for not wearing one, everyone is entitled to their own choice, but my choice is obvious after this. BenLeacockâ„¢
For the sake of 20-100 pound i would always say your head is worth more !! This video made me cringe even though i wear a helmet and dont intend not to ! Thutley i saw your avater and hope you are ok now and are able to ride, with out sounding nasty you were lucky and have been given another chance, some people who dont wear helmets may not be given another chance.I wouldnt risk it people wear your helmet and feel safe ! Muel
Thanks, this video made my brother realise why we all go sick at him when he takes his helmet off when he sits down and then gets back on without it. That crash would have been nothing if he had been wearing a helmet, we would have kept riding for the day, thrown his helmet away and bought a new one. And he wouldn't have ended up in hospital with blood oozing from his ear.I am very vocal on this subject as a family friend nearly dies after crashing, even though she had a mint £90 Giro helmet. Captain Scarlet
Thutley i saw your avater and hope you are ok now and are able to ride, with out sounding nasty you were lucky and have been given another chance, some people who dont wear helmets may not be given another chance.Yea I'm all good now with no side effects, but worse could have been death, another possibility would have been been permanent brain damage, which I'm sure nobody wants to happen to a close one.I was lucky to have a slow bleed on my head, a fast bleed could have resulted in death in minutes. You could fall a hundred times in a similar place but nothing would happen, it was just the odd chance that it did.It doesn't matter what your skill level is, trials biking will always have some risk to it, either your bike packing up, the obstacle breaking, or by your own fault on bike. BONGO
I really do need a helmet :$ This should be made a sticky ...Why should it be made a stickty?!?!? Surely everyone knows they SHOULD wear a helmet anyway! It's just stupid people who've not been lucky enough to bang their heads and realise how important helmets are.MTB lids look gay. Get a bmx/skate lid. They fit better, look better and protect better for all but the biggest crashes.
lil Jsy Chris
I always wear my helmet when riding and it has saved me from a few bad head aches, I've never had anything to bad but have cracked my helmet.
