basher
I just though..What about a Rating/review system like what Chain Reaction has where people who own/have used what ever thing can tell other people what they think about it. It works very well on CRC and I find it very useful. All you need is for people to write the reviews and rate stuff or it wouldn't really be very useful. I am sure they would though as people bother to do such things on here to help others out so I could see it been pretty good. Not sure if it has been brought up before but meh Just a thought. Just another idea again based on CRC..There ask them a question link at the bottom of the page. I think it has been disabled now but it is easier than mailing or phoning just to ask a quick question and it would be there for others to see. With how busy tarty are i should think the question thing like CRC wouldnt be right good as it wold take a while for them to reply to them all and there could be a awful lot of questions. As for the feedback thing it would be a good idea from a customers point of view but not so good in ways for tarty as if something gets bad feedback alround sales would drop on the product making them stuck with a shelf full of the product and possibly having to put it on special offer to clear it. Nick Garland
Are we going to be allowed to claim points on the orders we have already placed, seeing as I imagine you will have an order history, or will it start only on orders from when the system is implimented? Dai the Socket
Well really,The new log-in system should be able to keep track of what's bought by who, what trends, how often change their bikes, how much they spend a year at their store and if it's going up or down, or at Christmas so it's by other people.Obviously when you register you'll be able to sign up for the newsletter (if there isn't already one) which will no doubt pick up items which your trends will indicate you might be interested in, and hey bingo, simple but very active marketing.Like I said before, they can keep track of your 'account balance' and how much you've spent, meaning once you've got so much 'credit' you get free stuff you can buy in the store, meaning you'll happily but that new Frame, as it means you've got enough to get that rear mech you've been waiting for for the last 8 years.Good idea to be honest, and even better because I hear Dave has coded it all? Very impressive, and I'm glad you lot are doing well. Gimme a shout if you think I can help with anything. I like working with nice people. TrashZen
Well really,The new log-in system should be able to keep track of what's bought by who, what trends, how often change their bikes, how much they spend a year at their store and if it's going up or down, or at Christmas so it's by other people.I think this would certainly help both customers and Tartybikes. I am always amazed by the way they are able to recommend parts depending on the components/bike they remember you already have bought. This would actually give them a quick spec summary when you log on or purchase online and they would know straight away what does fit or doesn't and prevent you from buying something by mistake. Although they are already doing that over the phone, from memory. That's quality service. The reward scheme makes sense too as, you can only wear so many Ts.The feedback stuff is probably risky, I 'd rather read their own description, I find them fairly neutral and honest, not as bling as typical manufacturer's descriptions.
