Mike W
It will be a crack, they all do it there, check around your frame for others, remember, its a monty.mike
basher
Scratch the paint off where you think the crack is and see if the metal is cracked. But chainstays are a comon place for montys to crack.

basher
Non of them are solutions and i doubt will help at all, yes eventually your chainstay will snap. You could see if someone could weld it for you but then you would need to get the frame heat treated or it will just crack again.edit: deffinately looks like a crack. joshball
Ciguena is the closest you're gonna get - all the same geo except it's 10mm sorter than your Monty.I think that if you are looking for a new bike then i would think the Ciguena would be your best bet but then again i wold of thought if you took your frame down to a fabrication place then they will tig weld it for you but you do have to find the right person who will do it in there coffee time. And they cant charge because that is only like a 5 minute job.Other then that mate Ciguena ***.Echo.JoshX-x-X
Fvil
yer the Ciguena looks sweetI ve always liked that frame but how come on the tartybike sitethe black frame hasnt for a support bar thing by the rear disk break but the white one does?what is that abouts? ManxTrialSpaz
but how come on the tartybike sitethe black frame hasnt for a support bar thing by the rear disk break but the white one does?what is that abouts? The pictures of the black frame came about way before the frame was released - the pics of the white one came about after the frame's production - so the brace was probably a revision in the frame after the pics of the black frame. Its nothing to worry about.
