Muel
Is it an Onza hub? They had a problem with the bolts it these hubs, I got mine out no problem. You should be able to chase it round, it looks like there is a fair bit left sticking out. Will Arnold
it should be loose, because there's no force on it holding it tight, easy to get out..

Bionic Balls
me real name makes "a mad oyster"....ed: JT's real name makes some good 'uns done that loads of times...you can get it out with a bit of patience- start gentle otherwise you end up much worse off....IE: with nothing at all to grip.if you can drill a small hole through the bolt you can definitely get it out...i'd recommend allen key bits for ratchets (the ones that taper...) 531joshua
Easy out kit, if you have one.Drill a hole down the middle of the bolt, not very far though, only about 10mm if that.Note: this hole musn't be too wide, about 1mm will do, as the bolt your working with is fairly thin. Then get a special tool, which is basically a bolt threaded specificly for the job in hand.Screw it in anti-clockwise untill it locks, then the bolt should start to unscrew. If you have / buy a easy out kit, instructions on it should be enclosed. If not, google should have some basic instructions / guides. Muel
I drilled a 3mm hole in one and hammer a torx bit into it, it came out easy then, but the torx bit was fooked.
StuartD
Cheers for the replies, after my college course last year talking about tap and how if they snapped inside the material you were tapping you had to throw it out and start again, got me a lil worried, but ill have a good go at this tomorrow, anyone know where I can get replacement bolts? Bionic Balls
you mean a tap...that's what cuts a thread into a hole..a taper is when something gets wider as you move along it.....you know what i mean..get a hole in it- helps if you can start it off with something like a small grinding bit on a dremel..just to make sure you're drilling down the middle... AdamR28
The bolts in those hubs (Zoot front hub by the looks of it) are pretty heavily threadlocked in as standard, so it will be faaaairly tricky to get out. Failing that, give Supercycles a shout and they should be able to supply a new axle (easily fitted/removed).Adam
Gavyn.
failing all that.disassemble the hub so you only have the axle with the bolt stuck in it put the axle in the vice and saw straight across the top of the axle (only 1 or 2 mm) then use a screwdriver to whap it out
scousertrials
Take it anywhere that can do welding and they can weld a pice of metal on it and unscrew it out like that
Bearded Midget
once you have it out get a quick release, thats what i did when my bolts rounded.
RobinJI
Yeah, I was gunna say, just drill it right out not caring about the threads and buy a quick release. Way better for getting it in cars anyway
basher
If you cant get it out by plyers or vice or cuting a groove to use a screwdriver then you could just drill it out and use a quick release.
