Working In Retail

How on earth does that work..? Not questioning your involvement Darren, you obviously worked well, but I can't get my head around those numbers... Edit: Unless the existing stores were supporting the new one? That's probably it... would still lose a LOT of money though, madness...

Oh, and on subject... working in retail is great apart from the customers :P

That's fair enough dude :) £87K - Whoops was a typo :) Meant £870 K

Store was targeted at achieving £870,000 Per Year on 12 People. As you well know Adam, Retail is season dependant, and fluctuates over Xmas, New Year. Don't get me wrong, it was stupidly hard work ( I remember a 23hour day for a stocktake once! - Thank christ my gfriend was on Holiday - She would have had a barney if she knew!!). But all the hard work paid off. I enjoyed Retail from the very bottom working on a till, right up through the ranks to my 1st Manager Appointment, and I enjoyed it. Sometimes you have to go through the crap to get to the good.

And I also agree with your point about Customers Adam!

He he

in contrast partz,

the other main option is being self employed !

thats no piss easy task either !

im nackered !!!!!!! :S

haha

setting something up completly from scratch is a massive task !!

making that into a wage for one or more people is even harder.

then eventually you might get a really good wage. (maybe, lol)

also... you dont have too long now before UNI

so stick it out. and just keep thinking of uni / riding fun. :P

iolo.
