Muel
I'm loving it at the moment, I probably won't change much. Its a strange feeling riding a bike when it doesn't need any more money spending on it, but I may just change the brake pads soon.

Well, contrary to this post, I have changed it quite a bit. It's got a matching hope on the back! With a Monty TI wheel.Still sexy as fook, I'll get some pics at the comp on Sunday as long as it isn't raining.

Muel
Well I said I'd upload some pics, so here they are.You can expect more when I get my new back rim and spokes and clean the mount up some more. It's going to get drilled and filed down to about half what it weighs now.I have added a Monty 221 TI rear wheel and an 06 Hope Mono Trial, (The best ones), with a home made mount. I have also added some Monty PR bars, which are mint. Edited October 6, 2007 by El Muelio

JoNnY__Mc
Looks very nice, the rear disk mount is reallt tidy aswell Good job!
Muel
The mount is going to get drilled, at the moment it still has some sharp edges from the hacksaw . I needed it on for the comp. The rear wheel was also missing 5 spokes, so I have nicked them from my other wheel, and put 6mm of washers under each nipple.Bodge ***!.I'll update or start a new topic when my Tarty bits get here, once I've ordered them. Captain Scarlet
Does that rear disc mount work good, any flex or stress on the frame because of it.Always want to go rear disc.
Muel
Its mega stiff, It may flex slightly I don't know, it hasn't bent at all and I was doing some 5ft+ drop gaps today.

Muel
Really nice but does th back brake work perfect ?Yup, completely unfaultable so far. Slips a bit, so I'm going to bed it in and I might try a different rotor. The wheels knackered.
JaMmY
looks really nice now with the rear disc on it!
Muel
Ta Buddy. That mount isn't going to look so plain and heavy for long. I have plans...As soon as my New stuff from Tarty gets here. Damn you Tarty, I don't need new Grips but I'm addicted to Griffles! Damn you with your competition to lure me into buying grips that I won't need for over a year.
Rob Thomson
Yeah, just saying you're going to have to make me that mount! How strong is it??
Muel
Yeah, just saying you're going to have to make me that mount! How strong is it??I've been tring to make it bend or crack, and it won't, it is refusing to budge so far.I've been drop-gaps, fairly tiny taps etc but not holding back and it just won't move.Make one yourself, they're so easy but take a very long time. And you need the frame, disc and wheel all ready to use as a template, as well as the vice, set of files, pillar drill etc.To make a nice one it would take me 15 hours at least, it's taken me longer to do this one because I was learning about it, do you want to pay me for that at £5 ah hour? That's what I make at work writing line of code. I also had to buy the steel, but's thats like £4 or summat.I'll do it, but you need to send me the stuff and allow for 2 weeks ish for me too do it.EDIT: I forgot to factor in broken drill bits and hacksaw blades, at least £10 worth.
