mods
I'm sure adam and dave would have already thought of this. Why don't tartybikes do a 'used parts' section on the website. Could be used just to advertise your parts of tartybikes themselves could buy the bikes or parts and sell them on making a profit. I think this would help buying and selling second hand parts a lot easy. Also it's a lot more trust worthy than on here. What do you guys think, adam or dave your imput would be helpful as well
King C
Just another thought. I cant seem to find the opening times on the site. All I can remember is that its bout 10-6 ish.
AdamR28
A 'proper' business selling 2nd hand stuff seems very... 'car dealer down a back street' to me. We also simply haven't got time to take care of items like that given how much profit there would be in it.The current system on here is always improving, especially with the new feedback!Just another thought. I cant seem to find the opening times on the site. All I can remember is that its bout 10-6 ish.Oh yeah Will add those up... cheers! 9:30-5:30, Mon-Fri. Mat Smith!
Tartybikes is THE best shop EVER, not just for trials bits, but just the service and everything, i went in today and didnt really want to leave haha, there looks to be alot of 2nd hand frames and parts in the shop but i dont know why, maybe for bb's fitting or whatever because they do alot of that kind of service, i was thinking about a 2nd hand shop like they do in 'Game' etc, but meh, the forums fine really.Matx

Rusevelt
the geo of 06 and 07 controls are the same..My point exactly. so what again what really happens to these unsold bike parts. they surely dont get crushed and recycled like they do with modern cars. basher
Problem with 2nd hand selling for a shop is that it can seem a little less professional alot of hassle for not much of a profit, how do they know a product they are buying from someone is as described ect, they could possibly get stuck with a product. And im sure the business is making enough as it is. Seems a good idea at first but if you think of it from a business point of view then it isnt really.A 'proper' business selling 2nd hand stuff seems very... 'car dealer down a back street' to me. We also simply haven't got time to take care of items like that given how much profit there would be in it.Ok then, so what happens to surplus stock of trials parts that doesnt get sold, even after your 20-30% reduction? those parts surly dont get thrashed into some recycle scrapheap somewhere...more likely just get rebranded/recycled and re-sold as brand new. lets face it we the custommer wont know the difference on appearances. for example if frame design doesnt change over a course of 3-6years from production to shop dealer, who are to know any wiser that say an 07 Echo Control is in fact a recycled 06. todays parts dont have Date-of-production marks on them. You obviously dont know adam at all, adam wouldnt even think of doing that hes such a top notch professional bloke. The surplus stock will just be put on special offer untill it goes, if they know that a new model is comeing out then they obviously wont reorder until the new ones are out.Obviously older parts are scraped you goons they are just put on offer untill they go, they obviously arnt going to have shit loads of parts like this thought because they know when new parts are going to come out so make sure they arnt left with to much surplus stock. Tall_Rob
Warranty and quality of parts would be a big issue. It's too much hassle and waste of time to service parts just to sell them on cheap and then have someone complain when it breaks/fails too quickly.Leave second hand parts to TF Classified or Ebay.Stop all being such cheap weinies and buy good quality. Or Buy second hand and take the gamble..Simple......
