Bearded Midget
there is a seam line where the rim is joined together during manufacture, but you shouldnt be able to see through it, try tightening your spokes that may push the rim back together, but your rim is on the verge of snapping by the sounds of it

Richard jersey
I'm quite sure that's just normal, but I don't know what it looks like so.....
Dan Clark
The rims are pinned, not welded at the join. It's perfectly fine and will most likely go away when built up.
mods
echo 07 rim the line that joins the rim togeter you can see threw it , is this normal?Yea it is normal my rear viz rim was the same. You obviously can't notice when it's built. Don't worry about it.
harrylumley
yeh, all my rims have been like that but once there laced, trued and tensioned it will pull together and be fine!
Toby3448
Thanks guys. A big relief first i buy the rim red and comes pink and then thought there was a crack in it, well i still dont like the colour so im trading t for a black but the whole pin idea and lacing it up makes sense. Thanks
