Rebelistic
Hi,My trusty 205 had just failed it's MOT (would cost at least £700 to repair - not really worth it) and so I'm looking for a replacement.I've been thinking of a small van for some time as I often travel with bikes and diving equipment.I'm thinking of one of those vans thats not much bigger than a car or just slightly bigger (mini van?). I still want somthing that I can drive to work and park in a normal car parking space without too much trouble. It would be nice if there was enough space to fit a camping bed in the back.I'm looking to spend about £2000.Can anyone recommend anything?Cheers,John

Waynio
ye 2.0 Di engine is good, but will be hard to find, if not a 2.0 di try find a 1.7 DTI (16V izuzu engine in, had that in my old van i sold to Timmy in leeds)an astra you will find a good one at £2k, not your everyday white van. (which has had the everyday white van man in it!)You can remove part of the floor in the Mk4 astras too to make it more spacious.Ford Connect? transit thing, altho these will be quite expensive, Escort van if you can find a 1.8 TD model.Wayne http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-ASTRA-FRIDG...1QQcmdZViewItem you will keep nice and cool in that one 2.0 Di aswell by the sounds of it. as 1700 are TD and DTI model.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ford-escort-van-td-2...1QQcmdZViewItem another tidy little number.
