was a great comp....far better than i expected! last time i went it was all crappy sand banks etc, seems they have realised no one likes to ride that stuff lol. Probably rode the best i ever have in competition considering the conditions, although my result may not so it due to some ridiculous mistakes.

Managed to clean every section once though so im happy! :)

good to see a bigger turnout! hope everyone enjoyed the day.

It was indeed an awsome day, first time riding red and it rains most the time lol. I got 78 or so, not really fabulous but the grip levels were rediculous and some of the sections just turned into mud puddles, creation traction problems.

Very good fun though, will hope for a slightly drier trial next time. Some of the sections were quite tough I thought but it was my first time on red as I said. Gave my self one hell of a challenge and did better than I expected.

yer was a good day, my bike is actually a joke now though i think new chain and poss bb might be in order.

havent rode a comp for a year and havent really bothered with trials over the last month so was pleased with how i got on, managed 44 in red.

novice and inter seemed to have a really good turn out, some young guys getting into it is always good to see.

was a shame there wasnt many in elite, was it just 2 in the end?

see you all at penshurst!

Some were tough, others were just quite long so you had to speed through some sections. Section 5 was tough with the sideways tree stump, that was a pain to fit a 26" bike on. They were all good sections though challenging but not too hard. Even with my bad score I felt I did well :P

Its really wierd trying to work out whos who, from the forum and from the faces I saw. I now realise I was talking to Scopse without knowing it.

And the people are so friendly. I've never met any of them before but they were very friendly.

Nope but he sure was annoying

His name is Oliver. He is very annoying, but he is only 8. I'm hoping he'll grow out of it....

I had a great time. I'm fully expecting to come last again, but my fitness level has definetely improved since the last comp, as I was lasting a lot longer :)

However, I don't know if I tweaked something during that ride, because something went in my back later than evening while dancing "the twist" in the living room after performing particularly well at Guitar Hero. Couldn't get out of bed in the morning and had to be dragged off in an ambulance (neighbour climbed through my bedroom window to open the door - hilarious!). Spent the whole day as high as a kite, but I've got a stock pile of super strong drugs now :D

Oh, and did anyone else feel how light Chris' (Zhi) bike was? Magnesium Alloy frame and rims. I think he said it was 8lbs - it felt like it!

spode ive actually got a mental image of you dancing....... what a fool lol.

how did you get home in the end?

I had a bitch of a time. Stuart was kind enough to give me a lift to Swanley station. Where I took a train to Otford. From Otford I was supposed to change to Sevenoaks, change again, and then to Tonbridge. However, there was a replacement bus from Otford to Seveoaks. The b*****d wouldn't let me on with a bike. I did some sweet talking and managed to persuade him around to letting me - but then he took one look at my mud-soaked bike and laughed his head off.

In the end, through the use of a friend on the web, I discovered Otford was only 4.1 miles from Sevenoaks. So I rode it. Not that fun on a trials bike, esp. as I was knackered from the days riding, plus the hour I spent riding trials on a ledge I found in Otford :P
