Weight won't make a difference but you may feel more comfortable on a long bike with a wheelbase of 1085mm+ and a stem according to your BB rise, theres a small guide on tartybikes in the stem section

Go with what you like the look of. It's a mith that you need a longer bike for a taller person. Yet people keep saying it.

At the moment geometry isn't a big issue to you so if a bike looks good and is of good condition then get it after enquiring with other members on here and get enough views on what the spec/condition is like for the money.

You can go Mod (20") or Stock (26") it won't make any difference, it's only the size of the wheels, people say Mods are more flickable etc but you really need to try them to see what suits you best, so if you can get to a ride to watch people etc it can always be a big help.

In all earnestness, I believe it is easier to learn on a mod than a stock. Much easier to learn how to unweight the bike with a mod. But there right I guess you can learn just as quick on a stock, but at this point I haven't and I am now getting a mod again.

Well I'm 6ft and I feel cramped on short bikes and prefer the amount of reach for bridging and rolling up stuff, although if you wanted to do spinny moves a shorter one would make it easier.

Does the fact its a 20" 24" 26" make any real difference to the ride then? or is 24" a good choice cus its midway?? :D

hmm... Rim or disk brakes too... or does that not make a difference.... any models you guys would recomend?

If your going mod how about the new Monty 221 Pr or the Adamant A3. If you can afford it get the bike with discs. I really can't tell you what you want just get what you like the look of and try to ride one to see if it feels good. Oh, my choice for a stock bike would be a MBK or BT Raven or Echo Pure. All

of those are probably out of your price range. Maybe you could get the Pure.

Rim brakes for sure right now unless discs come standard on the bike. 24" bikes tend to be more orintated towards 'street' moves. Like spins and manuals. But none of us can really tell you what you want. The best thing to do is get a bike to start with just to begin and learn some basic stuff. Hopefully the choice of bike which you like holds up and doesn't brake so you can carry on worry free. Then when you get better your realise what sort of things you find more fun then that way your know what bike to get next to suit your riding style.

Any mistakes please ignore i'm too tired right now.

With 26" youll have the best range of components, but pick what you like the look of, its just preference.

rim brake on the back - magura hs33

avid bb7 disc on the front

that seems to be the most common setup these days
