Msn Virus

I opened a file the other day without running a virus scan and now my msn has gone tits up it keep sending people files with pics or says it is

do you know how to get rid of it?

ive tried running avg on it and nothing has got rid of it

any help would be appreciated

There's nothing left for you now. You're going to have to go to a mac!

Or run AVG. It should find the uinfected file, then you can put that into google and with a bit of looking about, you should find the location of the virus/worm whatever, which you should then be able to delte in safe mode :)

Mde sense in my head as I've had to do it before...

i had that. i re-installed msn and i fort it was gone, until the nextday ikept getting pop-ups but i just left it and didnt do anything, and within no time my computer had a load of virus's and i had to reboot the computer.

i now hate windows :P

had something simular. just bought vista =] happy now -- sort of..

Do a virus scan in safe mode.

Wont be able to install itself back onto the computer then

Oh, and when i got a version of that virus, it was that bad i had to do a fresh install or XP, just preparing you for the worst.

But, with mine i couldnt actually get on the computer without it logging me out or changing settings.
