Bearded Midget
do i just screw the top cap in then hit it in with a hammer? or is there a special way?all help apreciatedcheerz,Reece
JonCongreve
I believe that there is a proper tool, although i think that it's only a bolt with some metal on the top. All i do is out the bolt half way in the star nut, and hammer it in. Just make sure it's nice and straight with first few hits

Tomm
Just make sure it's nice and straight with first few hits Yeah. I usually stick the bolt in the star nut as it's easier to line that up straight. Hammer the bolt (not too hard in case you strip the threads though). T.McMillan
i get a about 10mm deep socket and tap the star down works a treat and you dont damage top cap or possibly stripping threads

Muel
I usually stick the star nut in a bit, then screw the bolt in with the top cap in place, get the top cap lined up then knock it down to where you want it.
squince
Put the bolt in the star fangle nut, and have a top cap on to, to ensure it goes in perfectly straight, just hammer it in by the nut until the top cap is on the steerer.
