i was busy backhopping when my tpa doohickey issued a click and now it seems to have cross-threaded and it's not turning any more

maybe it was because i'd turned it to let me have single-finger stopping lol

What do you mean by that? Do you mean your brake lever hits your middle finger knuckle if there is to much draw? If that is the case you could move the lever further up the bars, should be more comfortable and you ought to get more leverage on it i.e. more power... might make your life easier in general if you don't have to have the brake so tight for setting up as well.

Get used to it- it's a stupid design on Magura's part to have a plastic threaded part.

Easy to fix though, take the lever blade off, grab a set of channel locks or some sort of pliers with a reasonable sized throat.

Slowly rotate the TPA (very small increments is all you can expect) in the + direction until it is free of the cross thread situation.

I usually unthread it completely, then thread it back on-

Now your golden... for a month or so!

Or get the 74-kings bit from Tarty's and never worry about it again!
