JT!
Last time i went riding, my maguras suddenly felt vey free, like i'd just rebled them with water.A few days later (today) got it out of the garage and both pistons are very sluggish, in fact they don't come back to the rim at all.Why would it do that? Why? JT!
No. Haha. It's a bitch to get my chain off, in fact i have to de link it to get the wheel out, i could take the maguras off but they're perfectly setup.I've orderd a new chain so i'll kill two birds with one stone.I re-bled them though, to find that the leavers' piston was stuck in, so i forced it out with water pressure, and pushed it back in with the leaver, and it was still stuck. So i did that a few times and it seems to have freed up. So i beld it properly, but when i pll the leaver down it just feels like the system is full of air, and the pads don't really move.So i'll look at the actual pistons and see what's what.Anyway, how come is costs me £16 to order two KMC cool chains from supercycles, and £27 from tartybikes? Ash-Kennard
jt, take your cranks off, its much, much easier.
King C
Try greasing the cylinder in your lever. Poke it out with a spoke or something, stretch the spring abit and clean/grease the cylinder before you put it back in. Then rebleed. JT!
jt, take your cranks off, its much, much easier.I usually do, but the chain needs chaning befor i eat floor. So i'll do it when my chain gets here.Try greasing the cylinder in your lever. Poke it out with a spoke or something, stretch the spring abit and clean/grease the cylinder before you put it back in. Then rebleed.I have greased the cylindar, and it seems to have done the job, so i'll leave it there and do that if i need to. Never had to do anything with my maguras befor so i don't know them inside out.

Smacking the allenkey with a mallet. Is that right?I've lubed it all up and put it back in, but it doesn't exactly slide in smooth, i can't push it in, i have to use the lever to get it in, and it dosn't spring back at all. it's as if it's too big for the leaver. JT!
Well at least i know it's the leaver. Anyone got any ideas? I've tried a few different lubes, but the piston just pushes further and further in untill it can't go any further.

SQuiT-man
jt ive had a similar but ridiculously bad problem with my maggies, i just took the lever COMPLETELY apart and cleaned them entirely out, re-assembled and bled with water.now i have no problems and i know my maggies inside out, i'd reccomend it.p.s. i had to use a mallet and small allenkey/spoke
