That is what Try-Alls do, skip.

Seriously, for someone who post's as frequently as you, and takes the piss out of other members for not giving clear conscise essay type answers you talk a generous amount of shit.

What about the outer ring/rachet/teeth thing, the bit what the chain runs on?

They get chewed up more than the pawls.

How do you know this? I'd be interested to see which spares sell more than opther's to see if your talking out yer arse or not

Thats the Outer Ring which will be back in stock in two or three weeks

owned?

I don't talk shit at all. I have only ever come into contact with two Try-All freewheels. They were both shit, after a couple of months they started skipping and then it just got worse.

I have also only ever come into contact with two Tensile freewheels. Mine has never skipped, my brothers did once or twice when it was new but it hasn't for a while now.

Your statement says 'that's what try-all's do, skip' please don't tell me you honestly believe that is true.

It may indeed be true for the two you have seen, but it is obviously not the case world wide. Im sure you have watched at least one video of a pro koxx rider where they are using a try all freewheel which engages, as such, imo, you talked shit, it is a sweeping statement the like of which doesn't add to a discussion. It's like the wee arsehole 12 yr old who has an opinion on everything but hasn't a reason for it.

You havnt answered my question about the tensiles, how do you know that the outer ring's get chewed up more than the pawls? what is your evidence to suggest that this is the case?? your testament about them seems to suggest that they are very good, and that you have not had personal experiance of the outer ring getting 'chewed up'

Three ACS Claws I have had. All of them skipped like mad because the outer ring got all mangled, the tips of the rachets got broken off, while all the pawls were fine.

What is it with you? I do have some experience with the stuff I talk about, otherwise I wouldn't say it!

Apparently Monty freewheels are just as shit as Try-All, but having never ridden one, I don't talk about them.
