What Tyres Are The Best For Grip?

Monty tyres are good for grip but are a thin ply so will be more vunerable to pinches

Try-all tyres are soft compounds so wear quicker but have good grip (which in your case will be good)

Maxxis creepy crawlers are good all round tyres as they have good grip and have a good wear rate (Y)

Currently I run the Monty eagle claw tyre and love the grip and wear rate - Ive had them for 4 months now and theres little wear to them. I used to run the creepys but have to say, aside the odd puncture or pinch i'll still go with the montys :)

Apart from the thread pattern witch has a certain roll to play in the grip of a tire, the durometer number is what determines how soft or sticky a tire is. So higher the durometer number, the stickier the tire .

The new montys are pretty good, I think Creepy crawlers grip better though.

Try-All are shit IMO, they wear down really quick and the front ones pinch too easily. And they make silly squeaking noises. And they don't grip that well compared to creepy crawlers.

CCs ***!

Well no, the lower the durometer the stickier.

Par ejemplo:

Maxxis tyres:

Standard, non-labelled = 70a

MaxxPro = 60a

Super Tacky = 42a

Slow Reezay = 40a

(from what i remember!)

andthe slow reezays are the stickiest of the lot.
