Tommy d
Rim, otherwise I land on the rotors and they are not happy rotors after that...
Muel
Disc, I am fed up with grinding my rims and setting up my brake after every ride.My rim is cheese metal though, the grind just falls off after a while.
onzaboy89
Well on my bike i have a maggie rim brake but that has a very on/off feel to it. Makes it very hard to do manuals however with a disk you get a lot more modulation but you can damage it easier.
26inch
Rim as I break disks too easily + alot of frames cant handle the forces of a disc very well
lil Jsy Chris
I've just gone to disc and so far I love it, no rim grinding or no tar. Definitely recommend.Chris
Greetings
Definitely disc if you're running a mod. Much more locking power than a rim brake, has lots of modulation and is quiet. Used a 180mm Mono Trial on a 221Ti a while ago and it slipped twice throughout half a year or so I had it. I wonder how many people who write "don't get one because you'll hit the rotor" have actually run a setup like that and speak from experience. I didn't hit mine once, sidehopped to the left back then.
Adam-Griffin
Im my opinion a disk on the rear is ok if its powerful enough as realisticly you need a smalll rotor as if you have a large one its prone to bending on failed sidehope ETCAdam
