Fixed Pants™
This one time, at my computer, my computer f**ked up, and i got raped in the arse with viruses, and ended up having 15k of them, but that was when i didn't know norton was so shit and norton probably just made it up.Yes, the first bit was meant to be american pie esque. Fixed Pants™
You best be kidding.Come to think of it, norton was probably the virus... A virus in my eyes is a program that makes your computer shitty and is of absolute no use or help to you.Not really, but it's a good explanation of what i think of norton, mcafee and avg.Basically, if i had the opportunity i'd like to stop them programs from ever being used, bought, or made or anything, they are the shittest things ever.Nod32 ***. Muel
I got one virus on my comp which my brother downloaded and installed because it was called Sudoku Master or some shit.It was a downloader, the next time I connected to the internet it downloaded a load of viruses. My Mum then told me that the computer was running really slow and the internet was as well.I did a scan. 1568 Viruses. It couldn't delete any of them because they were all being used by another program. I tried deleting the Sudoku Shitter, which didn't work because it was open.So I went into safe mode and deleted the b*****d, then ran a scan from in there, and it got rid of them all.Job done. Boswell
It's pritty obvious somtimes with some of the cheaper programs that it just tells you virus you don't just so you think they the best and you are getting your moneys worth. Janson
Give it time, the virus software for Mac's is coming through now. Wont be long before they become troublesome.I have 0 Viruses atm, using Vista Premium..Ad-Aware/AVG..Does the job.Big important companies and 'ordinary' people still use PCs though. Nobody can be bothered to write viruses that only work on 10%* of computers worldwide, and only affecting the mac fanboys or artsy fartsy people. Then again, someone might be tempted to write a virus just to f**k with the fanboys but I'm not too sure.*Everywhere I looked it said that the Macintosh market share is 5-15%. Then as soon as one person does it and people see how much press coverage there is because "the mighty macs got infected" there'll be others trying for the same glory. Its just a matter of time really.I have 0 viruses on mine at the minute too. In fact i rarely check anymore... once a month, if that. But I suppose the Apple lads and lasses would be very quick with a fix for it.Thing is, lots of the virus/spyware comes with dodgy apps. None of these dodgy apps are avaliable for macs, and will probably never be as it's too much of an effort. But i definitely agree that someone will make mac viruses some day.
