Muel
It's a rim mounted disc brake, it has been on the forum before.
Alex@Flawless Bikes
Its so cool! Probally not as good HS33 but still great idea

Muel
Be easy to bend. But that won't make a difference as it has a floating caliper.

anzo
I'm sure I read somewhere about it being a bit crap due to the massive surface area of the rotor...too near the outside of the wheel and the force against the brake is immense...But still, nice little adaption... mod_biker_barney
Looks good but a side hop stack and it's a gonner...Funny you should make this post, my mate down the ramps suggested this should be made...i never imagined it would be made!lol
spode@thinkbikes
Hmmm. I'd like to see one in more detailMuch greater chance of "disc" contamination. And I can imagine buckling would be an issue, at would be just generally ruffing up, or denting the surface. I'd sooner just have a rear disc! bakewell
remebers me of a buell firebolt (motorbike) front disc!
Rusevelt
Whats the point! its literally a rim brake. todays rim & disc brake systems do more than enough of a good job at stopping you dead in your tracks. this is one extreme gimmick gone way too far . but hey it works. CC12345678910
remebers me of a buell firebolt (motorbike) front disc!Yeah! I've seen one of those! thought it was f**ked up! the guy guy that created this thing is obviously an enginering genius but surely he can use his talent on something we could all use, not just the select few. BTW if u haven't already looked, look @ the link and then the picture of his bike. Has anybody else noticed that his front disk is on the right. I'm wondering is this a home brew or can u buy the fork like that?
chris13
Yeah! Revolver
i've seen one of those before ona picture my mate sent me on a bike called a switchbladethat's all i know about em.I figure... if you want extra braking power, couldn't you just connect a hs33 and a hydro disc to the same lever?lol
Gavyn.
i've seen one of those before ona picture my mate sent me on a bike called a switchbladethat's all i know about em.I figure... if you want extra braking power, couldn't you just connect a hs33 and a hydro disc to the same lever?lolShort answer - no. Long answer - yes but it wouldn't be worth doing. got to say what an absolute waste of time making that "risk" brake a normal disk or a normal magura is fine
matt rushton
i think its europian, not english, cos there brake levers are the other way round to.The rotors are on the same side still though. Also i really cannot see this working well though seems abit pointless to me.Matt Rushton

Simpson
The power of that looks immense, I want one.How does it look immense? you could do all that stuff he was doing without a brake at all.... would be better if they had a rider who could actually push the limits of the brakes.... magura blacks could hold anyone riding like that....was in the 1st post ash lol
spode@thinkbikes
There's no doubt it would be more powerful than anything currently available. However, I just wonder if it's practical.
aaron chase
It looks heavy and uncomfortable.i've just seen a similar brake on a extreme freeride bike
