Make Holes In A Disk?

Im thinking about putting some holes on my magura martha front disk. I've listened that works better cause it dissipate the heat easier. But I have my suspects... Is it probably that the disk pads suffer greater wearing down due to remainders catched around the holes?

I appreciate your advices!

Thanks and sorry about my english, Im Mexican... BYe

Dont do it!

You only need better ventilation and heat dissipation when you're going at higher speeds or if the disc is being put under heavy/constant braking.

Trials doesn't do that so don't worry about trying it. Easy to buy a pre-drilled specific rotor anyway. You need as much braking surface as possible. That is why there are only a few holes in Hope mono trials to allow water dissipation, a greater surface area for heat dissipation and to allow mud to get out.

I'd say that was more than a few holes... The holes help with heat dissipation and water/mud clearance but also some manufacturers seem to go for the 'less surface area=more pressure' route. If you want to give it a try, go for it and post your results. be careful when drilling though because the discs are pretty hard steel and the Marta rotors don't have much room for error!!
