Jay-Inspired Posted July 30, 2007 Report Share Posted July 30, 2007 rite dudes bad news iv cracked my frame just before the summer riding which sucks what makes it worse i have no money to replace it was just wondering wether anyone has any ideas on welding it and what type of welder to use its an ashton justice 20 and its cracked round the bottom tube at the rear end on the drive side i do know welding will not fix the problem for good but will at least pospone the inevatable well maybe at least till the end of summer i would realy apreciate the help guys need help within the next few days so make it quick Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Saracen Kid Posted July 31, 2007 Report Share Posted July 31, 2007 it wouldnt work ashtons as well as most bikes are heattreated so rewelding will just do nothing and it will crack again in about a week so bacily yer frames nackered! joshball Posted July 31, 2007 Report Share Posted July 31, 2007 Well i have done fabrication and i would strip down the paint to bare metal and the i would get someone to arc weld it and tht is a sort of non heat welding as the reactions occurs on impact with the metal.That is you best option other then that i don't know sorry mate.Could always sed it back back but i jus find it too much hastleUpload a piccy of the crack.Joshx Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
