Unfortunately, though, the rims are really weak and dent easily and even though, with certain pads (like the aforementioned X-Hydras), the brake is good, the pads wear down really fast. But, you should be sorted with a pair of Plazmatic CRM's, which have great wear life and near unmatchable performance (Y) .

my mate ran the monty pads (long un's) with a virtually non-existant grind, he wasnt no happy with it though... not enough hold and bite - always slipped. he sent the wheel to a local bike shop to be trued and the backs of the spoke nipples were pulling through the rim!!! so he now has an 07 monty hub on a black echo rim, with a gring and echo reds - mint!

yeahh! and plaz pad but i put koxx on back because plaz are crap in wet but yeahh plaz pads are also immense on these rims with a grind..
