Scotty Evil1
When i broke my scaphoid a few years ago i tried riding the day after, ( and the day before) i got my cast off, big mistake. If you can just leave it for a week, then just get back on you bike, doing little things, getting used to it and building a bit more strength in your wrist. It shouldnt be long before its back to normall.I rode a comp about a week-2 weeks after mine, and it was bearable for most of it, by the end it was a bit sore, but i was riding again.Hope its ok man! James Quigley
I'd have to say I wouldn't do anything Big for a video for a couple of weeeks after the cast was off. When the cast comes off just ride around a bit, do a couple of backhops and just slowly start doing things when you're comfortable doing them. Walleee
Yeh don't go throwing yourself off stuff just for a video, your not going to loose your sponsorship because your trying to prevent yourself from getting hurt even more. Im sure deng would rather you put out a vid in a few months rather than trying to do one right away and potentially wrecking yourself for even longer. Walleee
lol cheers guys its not deng its me that wants the vid out lolThat's kind of the point im making, don't push yourself for the sake of it, you wont loose anything by not pushing yourself....... you wont get any better, but that's for after you have recovered and are feeling 'normal' again. manuel
take it really really slow .... My scaphoid injury was a real bitch to get over - many many months... i think i ended up with like 10 weeks in cast and then about 2 months of pain after... i was abit of a dick and rode a little in the cast (like at the DJ ride a couple of years ago) which probably didnt help (although i felt no pain at all in the cast). I didnt even know it was broken for 2 weeks - just thought it was bruised !!!! If its really sore when the cast comes off - it might be an idea to wear a support like cls had on in one of his vids for some extra help. (kinda bad advice as its not that great an idea to restrict movement, but if you only use it on the bike its ok) oh and lastly did you get it on video ? ? ? I was lucky and did
Barbra
When you break something doesn't it grow back stronger? Bone wise? I rode with my cast on when i broke my metacarpals, then once the cast was off. I was riding perfectly normal again. Just sometimes it'd ache. So you should be reet Selecta! Barbra
I think that leg training is where you repeatedly jump on a spot, like as soon as you land jump again. And do that for ages. Makes your muscles have more 'explosive' power i believe
