Alan
I love it when i chuck and random song with another song and it makes a perfect mix, double drops and all that bizzness, then i hate it when i press record and it doesn't go right again. MadManMike
Yeah pulling off the perfect mix is great unless you forget to record it!I love playing live, I always play better but haven't ever recorded out yet!
Tommy d
I'm listening to the first one you posted and I'm curious... What exactly is it that you do? Like what do you start with and what do you do with it? And what do you use to do it?Don't worry about going into too much detail as it will most likely go over my head! I know about music but not about mixing. And also what name would this genre be given?
Alan
I'm listening to the first one you posted and I'm curious... What exactly is it that you do? Like what do you start with and what do you do with it? And what do you use to do it?And also what name would this genre be given?Pick a tune, play it, pick another tune and bring it into the one thats already playing, trying to make it sound like its still one track, and if you get an amazing mix people wont even realise the song has changed until about halfway through and go hmm when did this one start playing but yeah, and you just carry on that way... basically anywhooI'm guessing Mike uses CDJ's well i think he does, from what i can remeber in pictures, and there just like turntables for vinyl, but play CD's Mixing in drum and bass is abit different, because you can get a song at the right tempo, play it with another track and both the tunes will drop at the same time and stay in tempo with eachother, but i won't go into detail there.and i think the genre Mkie does is House of some kind, maybe Hard House, might be Funky House....Anyone feel free to correct me if anything ive said is bullshit lolAlan xx

MadManMike
My style varies from electro to breakbeat...My promo mix is 90% electro. The latest one I did - the mess about one - is mainly cheesey funky stuff with weird tunes rolled in!
