jandamna
well today, i was riding as normal and i thought i would try a few rails, of course being a normal day i didn't wear my helmet (stupid me) so i did the rail a few times, then went for it again and cleared it, but when i landed my break slipped, and i cracked my head on the rail, now i've ended up sitting at home with a huge red bandage around my head, and a huge cut in the back of my head, and the moral of the story is, always wear your helmet!Janx

dangerous_dave
ouch, sounds a bit bad.i really need to get a helmet, im not particularly doing high stuff or anything, but you know, better to be safe than sorry.by the way, anyone have any helmet recommendations, i have been looking, but to me, the only difference between an expensive helmet and a cheapo one is just the price.Dave
1337 Trials
I feel for you bud. I learnt the hard way I only backhopped over a 4 brick wall and my finger slipped off the lever and my back wheel hit the corner off the wall throwing me back really fast and hit my head on wall :( ~Matty
basher
unlucky man , u learnt the hard way but you didn't really need to make a hole thread about it im not having ago but it is abit pointlessShut up, the thread is good in away because hes saying how he had to learn the hard way so hopefully convincing people to wear helmets so they dont have to, I wouldn't say its a pointless topic. jandamna
hehe thanks Andy, yeah the most annoying bit about it was the rail was about a foot high -.- which completely takes the mick lol

If you have to find out the hard way so be it then but its your own fault. And more than likely you dont wear one is because you think it will cramp your style and you will look geeky or something. Take the video of adam tart and stan, adam tryed a tap nothing special his foot slipped and he hit his head hard enough to split the helmet, im sure he would have been in hospital may be if he didnt. I had a cheapo £30 giro. was lovely helmet till i broke it. Got a new Met Veleno D helmet, and its so much cooler and comfortable on my head. Lighter as well. Also seems like a better fit. But cheaper helmets will do the same as an expensive helmet, save your noggin.
