kelly farm trials
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally out of control, shouting "...*************..., what a ride!"from my understanding if you had been there so would others? Matt Burrows
I am shocked at the turnout! I really don't see how you can have such a blatently low turnout and still call these events nationals! The only class with more than 4 riders was master, a total of 25 riders?!?! People had genuine reasons for not wanting to travel or simply not being able to travel. I think considering the pathetic turnout of the last 2 events something needs to be done. I think it would be fair to make the championship best 3 results out of 5 events to give other riders a chance. At the moment the riders winning in some classes are simply the ones that have managed to get to the events, how is this fair?? I think there needs to be more discussion about this because the current state of affairs is dire.
robster
with respect john, thats not a good excuse - robbie hasnt had any competition for years in the poussin class!Who is making excuses? If the series was run better and less of a shambles you may well see more than little Jonty and Robbie. Again with all due respect to little Jonty he will win the"official Chamionship" this year if he comes up and does Rochdale. As you said he will have No competition as we will be doing the National at Addingham. We will be at Hook Woods, not to suport something I don't belive in, but just because Rob loves it as I do down there. It is such a great place and Dave allways does a top job. The other series has a good number of younger riders in it from age six through to ten. Next year maybee Phil should come and do these as Young Jonty would have at least ten other riders all of a similler ability to thrash it out with he would love it. Rob moves up next year any how so at least he will have a little bit of comp at the ""official Championships" if it is still running.JP.I have just read the above post from Matt Burrows and I totally agree with him, well said it is "dire" Edited July 28, 2007 by robster
