RicH_87
buy grips that have an end on them, rather than just being a tube.
Janson
Lock-on grips are horrible for trials. You wear through to the plastic core and then the little tabs that go into the metal lockrings snap off.I use normal grips on a CLEAN bar, with the lock-on rings on either side. Grips don't go anywhere this way.

NileBrownâ„¢
Seriously, everytime I buy new grips all I use to keep them on is good ol' Saliva! I mean your body makes it so its free! Just spit into your grips and swirl it about around the inside of your grip and then slide on and after about an hour it goes sticky and if you leave it overnite they stay on Well thats what I did with my foam grips anyway and they don't move at all. Janson
The thing with most hairspray is that it is not very water resistant. So when water comes inside the grip they slip again. As I posted earlier I prefer clean bar and clean grip, but some kind of alcohol also works wonders. I used Isopropanol, but I'm sure Vodka or whatever is fine. Ryan.
tar the bar? or use hairsprayexactly what i use but tar makes it a mission to get the grip back on!
Aaron_W
i had this problem but what i done was put black tape on the inside and it stopped it.

At the moment though I've just got a very clean bar, with a very clean grip slid onto it with nothing but force, and old lock-on collars on the inside to stop them going anywhere or any water getting under them. Never move. Also run barends that cover the end of the grip, like the BMX style ones, not just little plugs, that way they stop water getting under the ends as much. Simpson
but I'm sure Vodka or whatever is fine.Seems like a terrible waste to me.....just clean your bars with water spit in the grip twirl it round flick the spit out and give it some beans to get it on the bar.... instantly rideable...... only works if your grips are newish and not some foamy shit
