timmorley
a hs33 if a type of brake made by magura. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=282 it is a rim brake and it is hydraulic (not operated by cables) i would say its the most popular brake on the trials scene. they work best with a new set of pads from www.tartybikes.co.uk or simular.hope i have helpedtim

NileBrownâ„¢
i have never got this why people dont use 2 discs?Erm, People do use double disks! eg Double disk montys? although theres an arguement at which is better, but thats another topic Its usually down to the fact that hs33s can be better for lock and rear disks for lock and modulation. There is also the worry of hitting the rear disk and bending it which would put and end to a ride( if it cannot me bent back)
JaMmY
Front disc and rear maggie is the way to go my new bike has front hope mono and rear maggie!!!
dangerous_dave
i use disc on the front and maggie on the rear.disc on the front because you get a LOT more modulation than you do with tar or a grind and you don't really need modulation on the rear.
