Alex-Mitchinson
I used to have a light grind on the front whilst using citrus pads. Was ok I spose but the brake was too grabby and annoyingly loud. Had to walk down hills all the time aswell .Umm yeh so I dont recommend a grind on the front but It is ok, just annoying.Front disk ***. sidehop
Modulation is for the wet... Pasty into front feal the bike bend and flick. But no my preferance is to get uber hold on front thats why.

Krisboats
I'd say either get some of the old zoo pads for the front and keep the plazzies for your next rear pads/sell them to me.Or buy a front disc.... it was the best move i ever made. Captain Scarlet
My friend recently purchased some of the new ZOO! pads, he was using them on a completely smooth rim (absolutely no tar), so I was a bit skeptical first.I went for a gap to front wheel on his bike and it locked so damn hard, I almost went over the bars, was really impressed. So either new pads, or a bit of tar. =P
The Duck
No.Buy different pads!! Save the plazzes for when the back ones die.
abtrials
grind it up mate, or save the pads and then buy citrus pads for the front and keep the rim smoth/ lightly grid it and then go round the rim once with sand paper to get rid of the sharpnes of the grind and they will work awesome and last ok to (trust me i am running this and its so so god, almost as good as my bb7)
Mike W
Definately grind, I switched back to maggie after a while of a front M4. i have a really harsh grind up front and its great, holds much better than any disc i have used mike
BRISA RIDER!
Hey it all depends on what type of riding you do? i ride a lot of street and do alot of flicky stuff so modulation is key!!!!but if your style is more of a comp rider well then grind it up!!!! cheers Jamie
Aaron_W
i put a front grind on my wheel and i didnt really like it so what i suggest is outting tar on there.

JohnBanks
I use plazmatics on the front with a medium light grind it works a treat bites well but it’s a bit noisy.
p_rew@theciderbar.na
grind it and grind the crap out of it - who wants a lame front brake? BTW benito still uses a front rim brake, so don't knock it.koxx brown pads are a good choice for the front and will last a while
Sam O
I'd never knock a fromt rim brake but I wouldn't have a grind on the front. It may give you power for stopping but for going down a hill you would wear down your pads so quick plus they would have a constant spueeking to them. Just put tar on or run a disk! But Koxx browns are awsome pads in my opinion. Edited July 23, 2007 by Sam O
sidehop
Its done and how i want it now...Its like smooth as i have a grinder bit which i used its like sandpaper... Its smooth again with zoo pads and tar and its pimp

James-M
Yes, tar on the front is dodgey, sticks a lot, and will cause your headset to slowly die because of all the jolting.
