Tom Rigg
Where in the Lakes is good to ride? On the slate around Coniston? Any ideas. I'm thinking about making a trip up from Bristol. Cheers. 2007 thread! nice search I used to live in Kendal, and for natural have a search on google maps for "Trow Barrow Quarry" and "Farleton Knott" for street Kendal itself isn't too bad. Or if you fancy travelling a bit from the lakes Morecambe has a bit of natural and street. Also Heysham sea front is good for natural.. But take a friend to that one, you might get washed away! Other than that the Lakes has a lot of limestone, which is uber slippery when wet! So I didn't venture too far. Hope that helps a bit! Tom.
