The creaking is odd, but I sent mine back to evolution after it skipping loads and apperntly the cogs just did'nt fit well.

What are you running it with...gt85, finishline ect...?

Not quite sure i read the instruction manual and they said put specific oil in or if you don't have it use thin oil. I will have to check tomorow and post back.

Clean all of the white lube that you get in it standard, that stuff is too thick. Make sure all of the parts are all clean and spray some wd40 or gt85 on them and some on the driveshell.

Or alternitively you could use some of that finishline cross country chain lube.

Make sure that the lockring is tight aswell, it wants to be as tight as you can get it with your hands so the wheel doesn't wobble.

If that doesntstop it from playing up send it back to where you got it or to tarty to have a look.

Yeah what max said, clean it out with GT85/ WD40, but give it a proper clean, its gotta be spotless.

Never had this problem with a pro 2 ^_^ Thats all im saying :P

Danny.

Never had this problem with my King either. Sounds like a poor maintenance/bedding in problem (generally where most King problems stem from lets be honest). Like Janson said they're temperamental things and if not treated and serviced properly they'll shit the bed all the time.

If it's relatively new, get it on a bike you do high mileage on for a while if possible (can't remember the exact mileage I remember someone saying around 100 miles of XC is a good start). Get all the internals running smoothly. Secondly as mentioned earlier, get out all the CK Ring Lube and clean the hub out using WD-40. Then get yourself some Finishline Wet Cross Country lube and put a thin line of it A: between the drive and driven rings (bits INSIDE the hub shell) and B: around the drive shell splines (the part which pulls OUT the hub).

If it's still crap after that it's probably been slightly damaged from skipping before so send it back and hopefully you'll get a new one. If that's the case don't do trials before bedding it in PROPERLY.
