hmm, they really did f**k up and as you said, quite rightfully will get a verbal slapping.

nice though, your solicitor owned them.

that's of course only if you're telling the truth, whole truth, and nothing but the truth, which may be relied on in court if you do not mention when questioned.

Man that was so difficult to read....My head hurts.

I mean no offense by this but you really could do with sorting your english out boss, most european teenagers have a better grasp of english than you do as they get taught it from a young age.

Good on you for getting off with it, though i suspect had you not been so sketchy in the first instance the police would have never even seen you and this situation wouldnt have occured.

All I know is that if I EVER get caught, it won't be going down like that.

A number of point's in your story don't match, what exactley were they going to caution you for?? Did you actually admit possesion of the cannabis? I don't recall reading that you did. If you didnt and they have no other evidence, then they have nothing to go on.

You say they are taking this to court? what are they taking to court for? what is their case against you??? what evidence have they got??

the way you type you shouldn't be smoking anyway......

Hmm the rest of the story wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, i'm still waiting for a "phonecall" for a court date, never going to happen lol Got aarested for Criminal Damage, They was going to let me go as i was freeing myself from false imprisonment, but instead thought they would keep me in for assault but then let me go because it was self defence haha the bloke still wanted to take me court though, they said they would get back to me with a date..... This was in december!!

Its quite amusing how immature the approaches to this problem are. So many people put replies saying things didn't add up and he must have doen something wrong and how he's blatantly lying to look hard on here. So many people still saying its his attitude that caused it all. IT WASN'T. He was well within his rights to refuse to say anything without legal representation, especially if he'd been locked in the back of the car and it looked like the coppers where blaming him for posession of cannabis purely for the fact they found a bag near him.

It was the coppers innapropriate behaviour and failure to follow guidelines that was the cause of the trouble, not him refusing to say anything.

And to whoever it was that asked why he was sat next to someone while they were rolling a joint... jesus christ. He's rolling a joint, doesn't mean everyone should flee from him. I've plenty of mates who smoke weed and i'll happily sit next to them while they roll and hold lighters, bags, or even provide shelter from the wind for them.

Fact of the matter is the cops tried a scare tactic, it didn't work in their favour and leo got the brunt of it while they tried to cover up what a mess they'd made of it. He was well within his rights to say he wanted legal representation first and so long as he wasn't shouting or swearing at them and told them in a polite and calm manner it would just mean a trip to the interrogation room for the lot of them.

I thought that too actually Kris, Ive been with mates/other when they've done pills or even sniff, let alone had joints, but ive never done any drugs myself, doesn't mean i cant stand there with them.

Some key points...

As far as i can make out, it was only your friend that was smoking. Why didn't he just admit to it when you were getting into shit? Or is he a 'friend' and not an actual friend?

The police sound stupid to me, they have to follow the strict rules and regulations. He didn't read you your rights, so really your not gonna get into trouble with that alone. Not to mention the other stuff they messed up on.

So i'd say that was probably the end of it.

Hope you've learnt your lesson anyway, no drinking outside, and no drinking underage.

wait i'm totally lost.

what was actually forcing you to turn up at the station the next day??

they didn't arrest you, they didn't make any record of the event and surely you noticed that? so why didn't you just carry on with your life?

they could hardly then turn up at your house and arrest you for nothing, or for an apparent event that happened the night before.

I agree with Kris on this one.. I see this as the police's fault..

But at the same time.. You drank in a stupidly obvious place, it has to be said
