King C
Ok I've recently just got a new frame and rebuilt my rear wheel but now whenever I pedal hard-ish the wheel rubs against the pads. Im gunna try and re-tension the wheel to see if it stops as thats my main assumption to why its doing this.My second guess would be a snapped axel but I really doubt that as I really not a harsh rider. It wont be cones as its a Pro 2 (06) and Im still looking for any signs of cracks in the hub shell but I cant see any.If it doesnt work have you guys got any ideas to what it may be?Im fairly busy so I wont be able to try your suggestions straight away but thanks in advanced.King
willy wonka
what frame is it?might just be your frame flexing over, kot's did that alot...they way around it would be to set up your brakes with the pad that the wheel moves to further away from the rim. Ash-Kennard
i had this with my control 06 and pro 2 06, i just moved the pads out abit
King C
Well the frame is an Ashton, the rim's an 07 Echo and Ive had to grind alot off my rock pads as it is. It also means I'll have to give the maggie a new bleed cos theres air in my system. Oh well if it means no more rubbing then so be it. AdamR28
Pull the wheel across to the non drive side a little bit (away from the drive side). The frame is relatively flexy so moving the pad away from the drive side should cure it.Ads
Oskar
happens every time i pedal haha, pads are 1mm away from the rim on both sides, but i dont care.

Concussion
Slight thread hijack... if you power down with your right foot and the pads rub/honk, what pad is rubbing, left or right? Thought it was left, then the right... sick of adjusting the pads will little joy, so which side you y`all think it is? I'd just like to know to be sure! Captain Scarlet
As for your second guess, it might not necessarily be a snapped axle, but check it as I've had an axle that has bent rather than snap, and it produced a similar reaction to what you mentioned. Greetings
Can somebody explain why the wheel always twists to the right?Surely if you apply power, the chain pulls the right part of the hub towards the bb, meaning the wheel should flex to the left? Concussion
I think its more a case of twisting the frame pads on to the rim? Could be talking crap though?
T.McMillan
i got it with ashton sometimes, dont with the zhi any more just ride lol, is abit weird though
Jason222
This was happening to me a bit today. Try tightening the axle/cones on your hub and that should cure it. I had to tighten my cone on my king tonight, I had to tighten it 4 turns to get it snug. No more wobble though and the hub sounds louder? Onza Kieron
Inur is correct, it would pull to the left if you looking forwards on the bike (Disc side to you loosers) but if you have a bent axle and take wheel out and replace it with it twisted in a different place then it would put the wheel squuuueeiff. Meh I dunno, try a rebleed and moving pads abit.

Sticky!
i had this a while ago on my old wheel. i tried lots of stuff and none of it worked but the i found out my bolt on the chain side was loose so i did it up mega tight and then i was absolutley fine. try tightening the bolts on the chain side on the frame.Callum

Elliot
Can somebody explain why the wheel always twists to the right?Surely if you apply power, the chain pulls the right part of the hub towards the bb, meaning the wheel should flex to the left?maybe something to do with the torque tightening the spokes on the drive side of the hub more/first, pulling the rim to the right? would of thought that this is similar to the reason why you cant run radial on the disk side, but you can on the non-disc side of the hub.
