jsychem
I've been looking at the Chris King headset for the last couple of days and was just wondering what no threadset stands for as i don't understand where the thread would be!!! quick_spider
Before A-headsets there was a system which worked with a threaded steerer tube.Sheldon Brown explains it well: http://sheldonbrown.com/headsets.htmlJon
T.McMillan
Yeah old headsets years ago used to be threaded into the top tube, but now they are push fit into the tube with tiny tollerances between the top tube and the headset cups, like0.1mm etc etc, so the chris king dont have a thread hence the name no threadset, tom

The cups for threaded heatsets were still pressed into the frame the same way. The difference is that the steerer tube (of the forks) is threaded and you tension the headset by screwing down onto that.
