trialmil
how much does it weight????can that frame resist to that modification???????
trialsguru
im actually surprised his frame is painted! surely the paint weighs more that the bit of magnesium he has shaved off those pedals...oh dear i hope he doesnt read that..... barrybaines
I'm quite impressed with those pedals! Bet he has to keep them ultra clean and replace bearings quite often though!
James Quigley
Nope he'd just replace the pedals.Seriously that bike could only last a couple of rounds of a comp before SNAP SNAP SNAP SNAP SNAP (Everything breaking simoltaniously)
Christophe'
the pedal mod isnt that stupid if u think about it.
Joe Sheehan!
Thats just gay. From all of that, what weight has he lost? about ~100 grams?
lankyri
ive got nothing against the bloke think hes really talented but this is just stupid, wouldnt you think the sensible idea would to be to go on a diet and make himself lighter surely then he could loose pounds instead of grams lol bloody french
James Quigley
to be fair when all of the silly little mods he's done are added together and the fact the parts are quite light anyway, his bike must weigh as much as a sandwich.Plus it's not like he's bothered about it breaking, he's just testing a few ideas, ones that joe bloggs couldn't really afford to do. Waynio
im off to try the headtube modification, that would for certain affect stiffness at the headtube. but hey, it keeps all you boys talking about him and his bike i think its different, might be stupid, but again, his dad owns koxx, he can do as he pleases.Wayne. Ali C
500g saved on the bike is like 5lbs saved on your body!
AdamR28
All that drilling/filing/cutting... should have got some Ti pedal axles
Muel
It may be silly, but if you can you should. He would just get a new frame anyway if it broke so who cares. It is people like Vincent Hermance who pushed the design of their bikes to make modern trials bike what they are today. Him and Ashton when the Justice came out.All that drilling/filing/cutting... should have got some Ti pedal axles At a guess Adam, I think he probably has already. He'll have everything knowing him. Ali C
ti axles are gold, but hard to get hold of now.....I am glad I got mine when I did
AdamR28
At a guess Adam, I think he probably has already. He'll have everything knowing him.The Ti axles for those pedals are gold... unless he's taken the gold colouring off or got some others made. Either way its fooking light, just needs to get rid of the frame tail now.
Waynio
maybe someone could sell him a pair? Wayne.

ilikeriding
Why has he not drilled the links in his chain?
Greetings
Probably just a comp bike anyway, so he doesn't destroy it while training ?
Rich Pearson
My thoughts exactly, he probably has another - significantly heavier - bike which he rides whilst training and then uses this one just for comps.Rich
AdamR28
Why has he not drilled the links in his chain?Cos he likes his face (well, I guess).Probably just a comp bike anyway, so he doesn't destroy it while training ?Yeah its his 'race' bike. tom 20
O , another part of Vincents weight loss regime. Soon they will be nothing left of that bike
philking
What has he done on the headtube? I am probably being really stupid but all i can see is some stripped paint?
AdamR28
The back of the main head tube area is chopped off (you can see the fork steerer tube).
Fixed Pants™
What has he done on the headtube? I am probably being really stupid but all i can see is some stripped paint? If you check out the 3rd pic down, you can see he's basically cut loads of headtube out...http://www.biketrials.ca/content/view/227/2/He's kerazyy, the freewheel drilling is genius, but silly. I don't see why he doesn't just drill 30 odd frames so theres no need for it to be strong, i'm sure he could use 1 each round. And whoever put his headset in is hamfisted.
