It could be your chain stretching, it happens. If not, get some better chain tensioners. Quite possibly PM Concussion and ask for some ninja star tensioners (have to pay, no phr33biez), they're good as they have two bolts pushing the wheel back, as opposed to one and are rather strong. Looks cool too. And, make sure once you've tensioner the chain you do the wheel bolts up a good un.

Yeah, Fat Pants is right. Usually when you get a new chain, you will have to ride for a couple of hours re-tensioning it every now and then. It doesn't stretch instantly though, so if it goes slack the moment you get on your bike, the wheel is moving.

I can't imagine how chain tugs can allow for the wheel to move though. Have you tried rotating your cranks backwards and looking at the chain closely? You might have a very badly made chainring which causes the chain tension to change depending on how your cranks are positioned.

Ahhh, that's why, i thought it was just a normal thing, mine gets stupidly tight in places. Damn my Da Bomb cranks and Da Bomb chainring (held on by 4 homebase bolts, bloody good bodge though, it's lasted at least 9 months)

How tight are you doing the wheel bolts up?

i had that,

1) undo the wheel bolts,

2) Undo the tensioner bolts,

3) adjust the tensioner's to the right tension and wheel position,

4) tighten the wheel bolts a turn at a time, (left 1 turn-right 1 turn)

5) do this until tight.

6) then tighten the tensioners a 1/4 of a turn,

7) ride with no problems! =]

i hope i have helped..

Make sure your wheel nuts/bolts are lamped up solid, mine always used to come loose until I got pissed off and tightened the nuts up an awful lot. Its surprising how much load you can put on them, I don't run tensioners because they snapped and I havn't got round to buying any more, but it doesn't slip any more.

That's good advice, especialy step 6. Always give the tuggs a good turn after you've tightend the bolts.

What fame have you got, any chance of using snail cams instead?

Also a pic would really help. (Y)
