jandamna
erm well lol, i bought a echo 06 rear rim, then a onza t-pro hub, and some random spokes, took me like 2 months to build (long story) then when i tryed putting it on my shity saracen 2.zero mad, it turned out the rim was too big! lol, so im waiting till i can get like a base, or a monty! Trix
I lost a gear hanger in the post, but then a month later I got the refund so nothing... just make sure everything seems ok before you buy stuff.
dangerous_dave
i haven't actually bought any used gear but i would say my worst buy would be the marzocchi gran fondo 2 forks that are going on ebay soon. i thought i wanted suspension before i had really tried rigid forks and it was a mistake. The Admins can fix it for you I think if it was. No offence if that is your real name though it just looks like you got two letter mixed up. jsychem
i bought an onza t-comp second hand for £250. it had already had two welds and after a month i snapped in clean in half through the top tube. :@
Ash-Kennard
bought a hope xc wheel with a mavic rim, it had had a very, very dead grind, the build was different on both sides of the spokes and both sides were built wrong, and the hub skipped 52 times on the first day i went riding on it. i put an old mavic rim i had on it with a decent build, replaced the pawls and spring, lubed it up and havent had a problem since. not bad for £35.my worst experiance... i hate using second hand parts, but will if it gets me by

Elliot
Building up my first bike I bought a rim off ebay that was really light thinking I'd make a bake wheel out of it. Turns out it was light because it was only about 15mm wide. built it up and gave it a go and the roll was silly. You couldn't stay on the back wheel cos if you jumped to one side the tyre would roll round then ping back into shape sending you flying off in the opposite direction! Lesson learnt = check the full details of what your buying, and buy wide rims!
