Isle Of Wight Car Ferry, Question

Right, picking up a car from Isle of Wight on Saturday, but a single from Fishbourne to Portsmouth is 54 quid. f**k. That.

Basically, there doing an offer for 38.50 return, so if i do a return from Isle of Wight and back, could i cross to Portsmouth and then just not come back?

I've looked through there T&C's and doesn't say anything about it, so maybe i could screw them?

Theres a bit here;

14.2 Cancellation by You – If you wish to cancel your booking or reservation after we have confirmed it, you should tell us as soon as possible and in any case at least 24 hours before the date of departure...

...If you cancel, we will refund the amounts you have paid but reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee on the scale set out below:...

...Please note: Refunds will not be considered on bookings that a customer has failed to cancel; on part-used tickets; or on special offers/promotional fares.

So basically, in there own words if i call up for a refund about a part-used tickets or ring up after the day return is up can they really do anything? Tempted to risk it and when they say anything about it and request 20 quid, read their own T&C's back to them and just be like, 'well actually, it clearly says if i i myself cancel it, doesn't say anywhere about any action being taken on part-used tickets where no action is taken on my behalf to receive any kind of refund'.

Also, anyone living on Isle of Wight, could you PM me please as want to talk :P .

No, outward journey is from Fishbourne to Portsmouth, as they say if you return by other means, there may be a charge, given, it says foot passenger, but if i go from the island to portsmouth, and just don't return, not much they can do really, atleast, thats how i'm currently thinking, and hoping.

EDIT: Talked to Smo who has done the same.

So tickets are now booked.

Will update Saturday evening see if they kicked off. :P
